After a severe pandemic-caused drop in output, and in a regulatory environment that is one of the most restrictive in Europe, France is focusing on digital transformation as part of its post- COVID recovery plan. French organizations have realized that making strategic use of data is one of the keys to rebuilding and becoming even stronger than before.

But where does France stand when it comes to digital transformation and data utilization? To determine this, researchers from The Economist surveyed executives from eight industries to learn about their attitudes, progress, and aspirations with regard to leveraging data.
